Happy Birthday Medicare Rally in Menlo Park
While single-payer health care plan proponents in Washington DC presented birthday cakes to Congresspersons on this day, the 44th anniversary of Medicare, in Menlo Park, California, the Raging Grannies led a crowd of demonstrators and passers-by in singing the praises of Medicare. Together they called for a health care plan for the nation that would expand Medicare to all!
Today's action in Menlo Park was sponsored by San Mateo County Democracy for America and co-sponsored by Health Care for All Santa Clara County Chapter and the Raging Grannies Action League. Members of the League of Women Voters and other groups also joined in.
House Resolution 676 is the ONLY plan that provides for a Single-Payer, Medicare style, health care plan for the nation.
