New Vegan Activist Summer Camp
Information about a new summer camp for young people interested in learning skills for bringing change to the world.
This summer will mark the launch of Youth Empowered Action Camp (YEA!), a vegan summer camp for young people ages 11 to 15 who are interested in activism and social change. Campers at YEA will choose an issue of importance to them, share about why they care so much about it, and practice thinking strategically about how to address it. Youth will learn valuable communications, leadership, and campaign skills during this five-day camp in the Santa Cruz mountains. They will leave with a thoughtful plan of action to help animals and a supportive community of peers and mentors to help make it happen.
What: Youth Empowered Action Summer Camp
When: Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21
Where: Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Calif., just outside Santa Cruz
