California | Labor & WorkersGeneral Strike & Tax on Millionaires & Billionaires in Cal Needed Now
The State of California is set to issue IOUs instead of checks today, July 1, 2009, because the progressive income tax on the rich, those who make over $200,000 a year, has been cut instead of raised and because labor has not declared the overdue GENERAL STRIKE. The State of California is set to issue IOUs instead of checks today, July 1, 2009, because the progressive income tax on the rich, those who make over $200,000 a year, has been cut instead of raised and because labor has not declared the overdue GENERAL STRIKE.
California has over 500,000 millionaires in its top millionaire counties of Los Angeles (261,081), Orange (115,396), San Diego (100,727) and Santa Clara (72,932) with hundreds of thousands more in the rest of the state, especially in San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties. See 5/5/08 Wall Street Journal Wealth Report by Robert Frank at http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2008/05/05/california-boasts-most-millionaires/ For a description of these parasites, who would not even feel a 1% additional tax which would immediately solve all California's budget problems, see (1) 3/29/06 CNN article by Jeanne Sahadi, "Top 10 Millionaire Counties" at http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/28/news/economy/millionaires/ and (2) 4/25/06 Affluent Market Research article "TINS Study Names Top 10 Wealthiest US Counties" at http://www.ameinfo.com/84035.html Meanwhile, the garbage that administers the University of California, better known as the rich folks' finishing school, receives $416,000 a year plus $40,000 for car and relocation. His title is Chancellor. Many of the rest of the managers receive hundreds of thousands of dollars from the taxpayers to also be glorified accountants, managing a budget. These parasites should not get paid more than $200,000 a year plus healthcare as all they are is budget managers and all you need for that is an accounting degree. See World Socialist Website, 7/1/09, at http://www.wsws.org/articles/2009/jul2009/ucal-j01.shtml AND WHAT IS LABOR DOING? They give their money to the millionaire Democrats like Senator Dianne Feinstein to oppose labor bills like the Employee Free Choice Act. WHAT WE NEED IS A GENERAL STRIKE NOW. As to the non-existent American Dream, it exists in Europe, not America. See 10/24/08, UCLA Today, "Why Taxing Millionaire and Billionaires is Fair" by Patricia Gandara at: http://www.today.ucla.edu/portal/ut/why-taxing-millionaires-and-billionaires-69198.aspx HELLO EVERYBODY! WE CANNOT WAIT ANOTHER YEAR AND A HALF FOR THE NOVEMBER 2010 ELECTION TO FINALLY CHANGE THE BUDGET LAW TO A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE. A GENERAL STRIKE IS NEEDED NOW.
