NOBLE to host community forums in San Francisco and Oakland

The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) was unanimously selected by the BART Board of Directors to conduct a comprehensive top-to-bottom review of the BART Police Department.

NOBLE will host community forums at 6:30 p.m. in San Francisco on June 22 and in Oakland on June 23 to receive your input on the quality and scope of BART police services.

----------------------------------------------------------

Potential list of areas to confront BART and NOBLE:

What is the historical record of racial profiling and violence by police officers at BART? We know they've killed three people, and there are vague reports of settlements of racial and gender lawsuits at BART.

Does BART even need its own police force? What kind of thugs do they hire? Why is the culture in the BART police department so corrupt as seen in Mehserle's preliminary hearing recently? Has internal affairs or Chief Gee ever doled out discipline to its police for anything? What was the most severe disciplinary action?

Why haven't General Manager Dorothy Dugger, Police Chief Gary Gee, or a single BART officer been held accountable for their actions related to the murder of Oscar Grant?!?

What information will NOBLE even be releasing to the public, especially regarding recommendations made and implemented, or is this just another BART PR scam? How can the public be convinced that there is any integrity to the NOBLE investigation?
