Will the United States Congress apologize to the Native Americans for stealing their land?

In the year 2009 recently the Prime Minister of Australia - Kevin Rudd apologized to the First People or Aboriginals of Australia. The past governments of Australia have killed the First People of Australia and with intent destroyed the family unit. Up until 1970 the Australian government - in the name of progress, removed thousands of Aboriginals from their homelands and placed them in reform schools The result the Australian government destroyed the spirit of the Aboriginals and in doing so their language and culture.

This news when it first came to me hit me very hard. I have been following the "adverse impacts" on all First People all over the world. Some have phrased it the plight of the "stolen generations".

While hundreds of third world countries have delivered "apologies" to some indigenious tribes - the so called First World Countries have been very slow to "apologize". Canada has offered compensation but has yet to "apologize" as did Australia - recently.

The United States of America has been lingering on this important fact and time is running out.
Some bills have been initiated in Congress to "apologize" to the First People or Native Americans only to die in the pipeline - because the Legislators suffer from qualms of conscience.

The United States of America once pristine had many Native American Tribes roaming freely and with them the Buffalo and other wild animals in plenty. The mountains, the hills, the rivers, lakes, forest, and all that the eye could see was good and wholesome.

Then came the stranger and with his evil ilk he brought a disease called "GREED".

I have traveled all over the world. Living among First People and observing them very carefully. Not once have I encountered "greed" and amassing wealth while depriving the tribes and its extended families of basic need.

Here in America or for that matter in Europe, Canada, England, Australia - where these White folks congregate in large numbers - the first thing one notices is GREED.

This element of "apology" is important to any healing. Then comes restitution.

However, the mostly White government - racists as they are - fail to acknowledge the harm they have and are doing to the First People. It is not about money it is about acknowledging the injustice committed. This must be in writing as the White Men loves to acknowledge that what he can read - over and over again. The days of keeping one's word and a handshake are over. The days of smoking the peace pipe and other such past acknowledged forms - a thing of the past blown over.

Here in the United States of America under great pressure the United States feigned some apologies when it came to the Japanese in 1988. To the First People of Hawaii in 1993. However, as I said when it comes to the First People of America - any and ever excuse is found to look the other way - and forget about the atrocities committed with INTENT.

Again and again in all the various Conferences, Summits, workshops linked to Native American issues - some one will state - when will the United States "apologize" to the First People of America? Following this statement there is dead silence. Reflecting on the injustice committed - the silence is prolonged and deep - for in thinking and reflecting many suffocate and cannot talk. I have witnessed this deep silence and listened to the beat of the painful hearts.

Well, this is a clarion call to decent leaders in the Untied States and to Legislators to persuade those decent folks that are against "injustice" to do the right thing before it is too late - and create an atmosphere where the President of the United States Barrack Hussein Obama can on behalf of all decent Americans - apologize for all the "injustices" meted out to the innocent Native Americans of America.

The time has come but the window of opportunity is very small. The Great Spirit has spoken that within a small time frame as revealed by the shamans and prophets - those that harmed the innocent, will have to repent and apologize, but what is more state in public and recall their misdeeds.

One has just to study the misdeeds committed during the "Trail of Tears". Here in San Francisco and in California over sixty percent of the Native American Tribes have not been recognized and put on the Federal Register.

In San Francisco the Muwekma Ohlone tribe has Patrimonial Jurisdiction over all of San Francisco. Yet, the United States Government has been very slow to put the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe recognized until 1924 back on the Federal Register.

If this was done the Pacific Heights Mafia would sit still and not push for the development of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. The Muwekma Ohlone Tribe exercised its Right of First Refusal in 1991 on Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. The United States Navy must acknowledge this and so must the metrosexual Mayor of San Francisco - Gavin Newsom.

California Senator Mark Leno a weasel and a snake has on behalf of the Pacific Height Mafia - initiated a Bill - Senate Bill 792 to take over large areas and give it to Rogue Developer Lennar to build over 10,500 in the middle of toxic dirt - much of it radiological in nature. Now, why would anyone want to build so many homes in the middle of Chernobyl?

We must learn to connect the dots. The White person does not know any better - GREED is his DNA is such large proportions that it blinds him. He will talk about Environmental Impact Reports and in the same vein talk about laws that can overlook such reports. Such as Negative Declarations. That is what Gavin Newsom is doing right now - aided by Senator Diane Feinstein and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

These evil people have not once acknowledged the First People of San Francisco and what is more apologized for polluting the land and continue to do so even today. These folks have raped and killed innocent women and children. They have killed innocent men that belonged to the various tribes in the Bay Area and beyond.

The have robbed their land - and after robbing their land - made fake laws to keep the land.

The atrocities committed by the United States and the Governors of California are well recorded.
Up until 1924 edicts were sent by the Governors of California to go out and kill the First People of California. One could fetch $5 for a scalp. Children were killed and women raped. It was not uncommon to force the First People to work as slaves. These crime cry to heaven and we must NOT forget this part of recent history.

For over 10,000 years everything was more then good - then came the White Men and screwed it all. The least the coward can do is "apologize". The First People really do not care about the "ill gotten wealth" - we see today the sad state of affairs linked to the Economy of the Nation and the world.

There must be restitution but before that there must be an "APOLOGY". Aho.
