City Leaders Consider Massive Cuts Monday 8:30am June 8

On Monday June 8th S.C. leaders consider massive cuts including closure or privatizing Louden Nelson, Civic, Teen Center and De Laveaga.

City leaders will consider massive cuts to the Santa Cruz budget on Monday -- including possibly closing the Teen Center, privatizing the Civic Auditorium, Louden Nelson Community Center and DeLaveaga Golf Course, laying off 40 workers and cutting all salaries by 10 percent.

City leaders will discuss next year's budget at 8:30 a.m. Monday at City Council Chambers.
Final cuts should be approved at the council's regular meeting July 14.
