After the 2004 election, we held the "Mad Voter Pink Tea Party" where we handed out pink badges of courage to all the various organizations and groups that sprung up so valiantly and worked tirelessly to defeat Bush.

After the 2006 election, we held the "Glad Voter Pink Tea Party", to celebrate the beginning of the turning the Congress into the hands of the Democrats but mostly to organize, energize, and incite ourselves to lobby for the end of war NOW.

After this 2008 election, we are holding the "Sad Voter Pink Tea Party", as, whether we expected Obama to continue warmongering or not, it is still very devastating and deeply hurtful to have Obama and Congress continuing to perpetuate and escalate war.

Our "Sad Voter Pink Tea Party" will begin with a review of the "One Step Forward, Three Steps Back" dance of the current administration.

We will bewail and commemorate the loss of lives during the first few months of this new administration; and the loss our hopes for real change toward ending wars and occupations.

We will educate ourselves especially on Afghanistan, Iraq, and also Pakistan and the impact of the war supplemental.

And we will incite ourselves to action, to strategizing the steps we need to take to make the change we want to see.

Obama has said we need to MAKE him change. Let's DO IT!

As always, we will have music, dance, spoken word, along with presentations and speakers! And we ask you to bring a (organic if possible) dish to share and/or drinks.
