Songs and Skits as Demonstrators Line Up to Demand Single Payer
Demonstrators for Single Payer Healthcare rallied outside 450 Golden Gate, the Federal Building in San Francisco, sending their message with songs, speakers, and street theater. They then entered the building one by one to deliver bright yellow cards demanding that Speaker Pelosi “put single payer on the table!”

The line was long and Pelosi's staff finally got fed up with the stream of visitors who entered her office demanding that Pelosi get in step with reality and get behind a Single Payer Plan. The Speaker was unavailable, as she is in China.
Today's rally in front of the Federal Building in San Francisco was part of National Days of Action in over 50 cities to get the message to lawmakers to enact Single Payer Healthcare. House Resolution 676 is sponsored by John Conyers (D-Mich) but our own representative, Nancy Pelosi, is NOT a co-sponsor of HR 676. She has gone so far as to declare it "off the table".
