Illegal Whaling By Canada, Seal Clubbing Nation

During the Mulroney years, I spent a few months in the Faroe Islands, where
whale meat is part of a staple diet for many. At that time Canada was a
signatory nation to the moratorium on whaling, but the Faroese supermarkets had
lots of fresh "Canadian whale meat" in their coolers. The whales were
slaughtered by Canadian whalers for "scientific purposes" but that was just a
cover story for business as usual. Unfortunately, you can't believe much of what
the Canadian government tells you. Telling lies is part of the job description
for Canadian politicians and bureaucrats, just as it is in most nations. The
average citizen is like a mushroom: kept in the dark and fed on bullshit.
