In Celebration of Courageous Women
Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin, partners for over 50 years, were the first lesbian couple to marry in San Francisco in 2004. WILPF (Women's International League for Peace and Freedom) is pleased and proud to celebrate the life of Phyllis Lyon at their annual “A Courageous Woman” fundraiser on Saturday May 23rd from 3-5pm at Inner Light Center, 5630 Soquel Drive.
Rev. Deborah L. Johnson, another courageous woman, will talk with Phyllis about her pioneering and continuing struggle for equal rights for Lesbians, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender Communities.
A donation of $15 - 25 is suggested with no one turned away for lack of funds. This event is co-sponsored by the Inner Light Ministries Social Justice Committee. For further information email Sandy at silver [at] cruzio.com.
