Big Brother on Folsom Street:
How AT&T Is Helping the NSA Spy on YOU

In 2005, an AT&T technician named Mark Klein came forward with evidence of a massive spying operation running out of the AT&T facility on Folsom Street in San Francisco. The documents describe installation of a fiber-optic splitter that delivers a copy of the entire Internet stream passing through the Folsom facility to a secret room controlled by the National Security Agency.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (eff.org) is suing both AT&T and the US Government over the program, alleging that your emails, your web searches, even some telephone calling data, are all being delivered to the NSA without warrants, in direct violation of multiple laws, as part of this ongoing program. EFF activist Hugh D'Andrade will present a slideshow of photos and movie clips describing what we know about the program, and what EFF is doing to stop it.

Hugh D'Andrade is a Designer/Activist with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, where he creates graphics about spying programs and writes for the EFF blog (eff.org/deeplinks). Hugh is also an artist who has created posters for Bound Together's Anarchist Bookfair, Critical Mass, and May Day.
