Although many tenants of properties owned and managed by Page Mill Properties have fled due to landlord harassment, those who remain continue to battle the mega landlord. The huge tenant turnover has disrupted the community and schools in particular. Now Page Mill Properties is sending appraisers to tenants' doors, a clear indication that the landlord/owner is trying to get rid of the property. Tenants are encouraged to report their suffering at the hands of Page Mill to any appraiser who talks to them.
As an independent third party, the appraiser must include this information in her report to the bank and any potential buyer. http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/03/12/18576431.php Part I is at link above Photos by R. Robertson/Justin Miel

Ed is a home caregiver and organizer of home caregivers AND a tenant of a Page Mill Properties owned apartment. He stated that he finds it upsetting that SEIU pays into CalPers (a pension fund for state employees) and CalPers is an investor in Page Mill Properties. Tenants have gone directly to CalPers to make their case as well.
