Martial Law a buzz in Berkeley

Today two more Apache Military helicopters with a third, flew low over Berkeley.

Around 2pm on February 28th over the Farmers Market in Downtown Berkeley two Apache helicopters flew low over the city. An ominous sign that the powers at be are getting the local population used to seeing the military in the skies of Berkeley. This is the third visit in only 10 days time. Hostile behavior by any standard, and yet few seem willing to talk about it.
It's as if the entire local had already been desensitized to such displays,
as if the move to martial law itself were taken as a "fait accompli".
It's time we realize what's coming down the tubes. The signs on this occasion
may not be "on the wall"; instead they're in the skies, live and in living color.
So why the denial? Best confront the challenge and unite while we can.

Actually, I don't mean to be antisocial. It would be interesting to figure out what they are doing. There could be an entirely legitimate purpose. What if the news or the CHP monitoring traffic had to have their regular helicopter at the mechanic.

I saw them on Sat. around 4pm as I rode down 7th st and headed e on Dwight. They were loud as hell, and I said to myself, "what are they doin' here?"

It would be good to know what they were doing that day and where they came from?

Hi,

I'm your neighbor to the south & we've been experiencing the same thing here ...

In years past, I've seen black helicopters buzzing the hills near my house (right over my head as I was hiking in them) & I saw some kind of drill in downtown L.A. where troops were sliding down ropes on top of a building & just the other day I heard a helicopter buzzing VERY low over my house ...

I wish now that I had run outside to verify what kind of helicopter it was, because it did NOT sound like my local PD &, in all the years I've lived here, I've NEVER heard them fly that low, plus it didn't even SOUND like my local PD ...
