ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA
Let's make sure Obama and Congress keep labor issues at the top of their agenda!

The coming of the Obama Administration is a breath of fresh air for working people. We have an administration and a Congress that say they're on labor's side. Let's make sure they back up words with action.
President Obama himself has called for a continuation of the grassroots activism that got him elected, to push forward—and shape—his agenda. He calls this effort Organizing for America. We're going to have an Organizing for America group in San Francisco that makes a special effort to ensure that labor issues—especially the Employee Free Choice Act—stay on the front burner.
The kickoff for this group will be Thursday, February 19, 3:30-5:00 PM at the Local 2 action room, 215 Golden Gate Ave, San Francisco; and we'll have a lineup of special speakers for a brief orientation:
—a representative of Local 2
—Siri Margerin, activist with United for Peace and Justice
—Jarvis Tyner, Executive Vice Chair, Communist Party USA
[Organizations listed for identification only]
Together, we'll come up with an agenda for the months ahead, to do our part in fulfilling the promise of November's historic election victories. Be there, and invite your friends!
