The public defender who has been representing Dee e-mailed us yesterday with the good news that yesterday, Greg Barge, head of the misdemeanor unit at the D.A.'s office, finally dismissed the bogus battery of a police officer and obstruction of justice charges that have bedeviled Dee for more than six months.

Your support has meant a great deal to Dee throughout this drawn-out and ridiculous -- albeit serious in terms of the stakes that were involved -- affair. Thanks, everyone, for your solidarity, your letters, and your presence at court!
