Peninsula | Government & Elections | LGBTI / QueerSun Shines on *Revoke Prop 8* Marchers headed to Supreme Court
Tracie and Val made their way through the rain up the historic El Camino Real, walking from Sunnyvale this morning. By the time they got to Palo Alto the weather was clear and beautiful. The sun shines on those who rally for justice! Tracie Jones and Val Paget are on their way to deliver a petition of 300,000+ signatures to the California Supreme Court demanding that Prop 8 be revoked. When they reach San Francisco, they will have walked approximately 450 miles.
Thanks goes to the dozens who came out to the Palo Alto rally. Some of them are: Eileen Altman, Associate Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Palo Alto Melissa Cardinet of One Struggle, One Fight (http://www.onestruggleonefight.com) Brent Turner, Election Integrity Activist No on Prop 8 campaigners Members of PFLAG Stanford students 10 Raging Grannies and a partridge in a pear tree.
