Can anyone update on these ICE raids? Any details would be helpful in order for us to know whether to expect in coming days, or if they are separating kids from parents and so forth.

For instance, the newspaper described it as a roundup of mara salvatrucha members. The Santa Cruz police or their local newspaper has also depicted crime in the latino riverside neighborhood as MS dominated. My friend who has visited El Salvador twice says that it is ridiculous to believe that there is a real presence of this gang in Santa Cruz. He thinks they toss the name of the gang around to scare people. But you never know. Maybe there are a few of them. In Seattle, there was a news story when a property manager of several apartment buildings turned out to be an infamous neonazi who had attempted to kill MLK Jr. and was illegally trading in weapons - but locals had just perceived him as this ordinary unfriendly guy with a german shepherd.
