STOP THE SPRAY REMEMBERS
Days of Remembrance Oct 25 - Nov 9, 2008

With the Days of Remembrance we recall the aerial pesticide sprayings for Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM). For now the planes are grounded, but the damage done to the people and the environment of the Monterey Bay area
has never been addressed. Join us to mark the suffering, demand accountability, and imagine a better, greener future.

STOP THE SPRAY REMEMBERS OPENING EVENT OCT 25

The lighting of 643 memorial candles in honor of the victims of the spray launches the Days of Remembrance.
The ceremony at Santa Cruz City Hall consists of the awarding of the Light Brown Apple Moth Ribbon of Merit
and discussions of redress and future action. Speakers will include Bill Monning (Democratic candidate for state assembly, Monterey), Frank Egger (president, North Coast River Alliance, Fairfax) and Mike Lynberg (Pacific Grove). A silent candlelight walk through downtown Santa Cruz concludes the evening's program.

Bring candles or lanterns (no scented candles or incense please), kids welcome.

I saw one of the memorial posters... It WAS laughable.

One person even had the temerity to state "You didn't ask our permission"

Get this, booshie little child,... they DON'T NEED your permission.

We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
