San Francisco, CA ~ California Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association continues the celebration, from Raleigh, North Carolina, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, CA, Allensworth State Park, CA, San Francisco, CA and ending at the California State Capitol, CA for World Food Day October 16, 2008.

The African Founding Father of California help build San Francisco, William Alexander Leidesdorff, Jr remains a hidden figure in California History. The California Grown legacy of Black Agriculture will germinate with the coming change in financial markets that invest and harvest good fruit.

The vision, determination and success of Colonel Allen Allensworth will build new hope and optimisum for a “renaissance of Agriculture as the Foundation of Black Culture.” Black consumers throughout America suffer from the worst effects from diet related disease. The ongoing exclusion of salient discussion surrounding investment in job creation, technical assistance and economic development targeting production of speciality ethnic crops by black producers is direct cause from the systemic institutional racism that destoyed the historic town of Allensworth and reduced Black Agriculture globally to what we see today.

We must embrace change for a better quality of life in our communities.

A star-studded weekend in Los Angeles at the California African American Museum, hosted by the North Carolina Land Loss Prevention Project highlighted an amazing closing exhibition reception of Allensworth: 100 Years of the California Dream, Gumption at the Junction.

On to the sacred soil of historic Allensworth, let the world rejoice, rebirth of Agriculture as the foundation of Black Culture.
