The weekend will highlight workshops, discussions, debates, skillshares, and other conversations on the pressing issues of our time. Afterparties and social gatherings every night! The proposed agenda for the Campus Antiwar Network National Conference is as follows: Friday October 10, 2008 Registration and Housing Party 8pm - midnight Saturday October 11, 2008 Registration 9:00am - 10am, DePaul University Welcome from Conference Organizers 10am - 10:30am Discussion and Vote on Agenda 10:30 – 11am US Involvement in the Middle East, plenary discussion 11:00am- 12:30 Lunch 12:30-1:30pm Building a Student Antiwar Movement 1:30pm – 3pm Educational and Strategy Workshops, 3pm-4:30 Educational: 1. Afghanistan 2. Palestine 3. Colombia 4. Iraqi Refugee Crisis 5. Torture 6. Divide and Conquer: Organizational/Strategy: 1. Education Cuts, Military Recruitment and the Economic War on Students: How do we fight back? 2. Publicity, Media and CAN Newsletter 3. RNC reportback 4. How to Start a CAN chapter 5.
