Drummers increasingly upset that one of their members was being targeted and pulled away from the drum circle. Drummers and supporters followed the police. A second drummer was also arrested as the police called backup and used significant force on the individuals under arrest. A few more images of the arrests.
Multiple police vehicles arrived, streets blocked by patrol cars, additional equipment brought in, before a quick departure. The first individual being escorted to a waiting police car. Though he was compliant, he appeared to be in a great deal of physical pain. The second person arrested was grabbed by the hair and with a heavy use of force, shoved into a waiting patrol car. Concerned individuals with cameras and/or a video equipment are encouraged to be present at future farmers markets. Community gatherings should be encouraged. Peaceful gatherings cannot and should not be suppressed. |
