Fifty thousand people jammed speedway meadow in San Francisco's Golden Gate Parkon Saturday, September 6, for a day of music, art and politics. Kev Choice and Silk-ee opened in the morning on the green stage to a small, but enthusiastic audience.

Back stage Mr. Franti reflected on ten successful years of Power to the Peaceful. He announced plans for a Power to the Peaceful event in Tanzania next March. Mr. Franti is the "Founder, Creative Director and Producer of the event."
