Bay Area activists joined tens of thousands to protest at the RNC in St. Paul, Minn. last week. For these two actions, Courage to Resist, Global Exchange, Oil Change USA, Rainforest Action Network, Codepink and the Ronald Reagan Home for the Criminally Insane hosted “rallies” in “support” of Big Oil’s in-bed relationship with the Republicans. The first street theater production took place outside a GOP party at Epic Entertainment, sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute. For the second, we meet the Texas Delegates for breakfast outside of their hotel with yellow “Support Our Oil Companies” ribbons. Rolling around in the millions of “Oily Dollars” given back to Republican candidates was a highlight for many. ![]() 1-rnc_2302.jpg ![]() 2-dance_2109.jpg ![]() 3-annwright_2157.jpg ![]() 4-heads_2266.jpg ![]() 5-excited_2193.jpg ![]() 6-pose_2065.jpg ![]() 7-bear_2119.jpg ![]() 8-david_2061.jpg ![]() 9-straight-talk_2043.jpg ![]() 10-sara_2215.jpg ![]() 11-delegagte_2271.jpg ![]() 12-john_2084.jpg ![]() 13-hess_2054.jpg ![]() 14-bear_1964.jpg ![]() 15-rider_1908.jpg ![]() 16-money_1959.jpg ![]() 17-money_1882.jpg ![]() 18-delegate_1900.jpg ![]() 19-thankyou_2328.jpg |
