Live video of RNC breakaway march
by uptake
Monday Sep 1st, 2008 12:07 PM
The Uptake is a video journalism site which has been providing great coverage of the pre-emptive raids of houses associated with activists in the Twin Cities. They currently have a live camera operating. the website is fairly stable and only occasionally drops connection. They also have a text wire of the morning's events. Apparently a breakaway march occurred from the main antiwar march to the Xcel center. The video showed several police tires being slashed and windows being broken, all live to the internet, as the group proceeded up the center of the street.
For quite some time, no police seemed to be visible.
