Getting Started School Garden Design
Sat. Oct. 25 at Alice Fong Yu Elementary, San Francisco, 9:30am-1pm.
Cost: $25

Get a hands-on introduction to designing and building a green school garden from the ground up. This workshop will include:
• Basic mapping, layout and elements of school garden planning and design
• Samples and sources of recycled and reclaimed materials to use in your school garden
• Practice designing different themed gardens
• Exploring watering options, including drip irrigation systems

You will receive:
• SAMPLE school garden designs
• COURSE READER with resources for design, irrigation, soil testing
• BUILDING MATERIALS for planning thematic units with students
• FREE PLANTS OR SEEDS to get you started
