Hearing on Lennar's Pollution and Fiscal State of Affairs - Out-Migration of Blacks in SF

August 7, 2008 at about 1:30 p.m. there was a Special Order - a Hearing, in Room 250 - before the Rules Committee - Supervisors Chris Daly - the Chair - and Bevan Dufty and Tom Ammiano in attendance. Later the committee was joined by Supervisor - Ross Mirkarimi.

On the Agenda:

11. San Francisco's Declining African American Population - Supervisor, Chris Daly.

12. San Francisco's Redevelopment Agency - Supervisor, Chris Daly.

13. Exceedances at the community airborne asbestos monitoring station HV-9 - Supervisor, Chris
Daly.

The above three agenda items were taken as a whole.

The first person to speak was Fred Blackwell who chose to give a brief summary of Out-Migration - meaning the fleeing of Blacks from San Francisco and its present declining population.

Two members of the Out Migration Task Force - tried to explain the flawed process that lack vision, short term goals and of course determined policies - complete with solutions and enforcement.

The head of the NAACP tried to explain and made matters - worse.

The Unfinished Agenda - a prior report of the Economic Status of African American in San Francisco - was discussed and report on - from 1964 to 1990. Little - detail information was focused on this document.

The Committee on African American Parity of the Human Rights Commission of San Francisco released the report in February of 1993.

The Unfinished Agenda focused on Eight Areas:

1. Employment and Entrepreneurship

2. Education

3. Criminal Justice

4. Housing

5. Health Services

6. Media Relations

7. Political Empowerment

8. African American Families

As often happens people that are confused, bewildered, confounded, and not united - find ways to re-invent the wheel and in doing so - some one - decided to create a Task Force on Out-Migration - which has yet to formalize its policies and produce a through - report.

The Unfinished Agenda is available on request at the Human Rights Commission at 25 Van Ness.

The Out-Migration Draft is more of the same - except it staggers, fumbles with data and leads you to areas - that are darker then the darkest - Slave Plantation. Shackles you and takes you backwards with no vision and less sound leadership.

Good leaders - know the way, show the way, and go the way.

The African American leadership in San Francisco is pathetic. May I repeat that again - pathetic.

The present NAACP should be ashamed of itself - representing the Blacks of San Francisco - more in some Bi-Polar manner - bringing more confusion to the already confused and confounded - arena.

Blacks in Leadership in San Francisco are far removed from the the concerns and plight of the common Black Sisters and Brothers that are poor and need help. Some think because they are leaders of some Church - they can act as "brokers" - and fill their own personal coffers.

You can understand this mentality coming from crooked politicians - the likes of Willie L. Brown Jr. who has done more damage to Blacks then any other single Black Politician. Amassing great wealth - working with dubious entities - and always on the take.

But, this type of behavior is unacceptable when it comes to Black Leaders in the Black Churches.

Imagine Black Church Leaders - meeting in a den up on upper, Mission Street - calling them the Tabernacle Group and doing the devil's work.

Imagine - some Black Leaders trying to manage Community Funds on behalf of all of the Bayview Hunters Point. Having no consideration for the Samoans, the Latinos, the Asians, the Native Americans, the Whites - and thinking no end of themselves.

Suddenly, men who cannot drive a nail straight more talk straight - trying to manage Community Benefits - when the only goal they have in mind - is benefiting- themselves. Shame.

Such nonsense must stop. God did not ordain Pastor and Bishops to steal and bathe in ill-gotten wealth - while all the time touting - Community Benefits! In which school of Theology do they teach such mundane - nonsense? Where in the Bible does it encourage the Shepherd to be a broker? You either fend for your sheep or you get out of the way.

It is such nonsense that has create a fiasco - among the Black in the Bayview Hunters Point and more in the Western Addition.

No amount of quoting from the Bible will redeem a Pastor gone wild and bunkers!

If you are Bi-Polar go to a doctor and stay away from making public comments. More, stay away from Room 200 - always acting as a snitch.

Well, we are still on a plantation and nothing much has changed. The dynamics of present day Blacks is worse - because the Black Leadership - stinks to high heaven.

Lennar Corporation - paid some Blacks to come to the meeting - and when the better Black, sane Leaders spoke - they got some education. W,hen they saw - may be for the first time - how they were led like pariah dogs - covered with fleas and dirty - the sell outs - all of them - fled.

When the disparities that befell the Western Addition through SF Redevelopment Agency - known to many as the Fillmore - there were no Fair Federal Housing Laws. Many died from despair - and many of these Blacks were Middle Class. Many owned their own homes.

We have these same desparities now - and even as San Francisco Redevelopment Agency - uses tools such as Tax Increment, Loans, and in some cases - Eminent Domain. Today, we have many rights that protect us and for course the Federal Fair Housing - practices.

With the Black Leaders who are corrupt - it is like this - what is it that is in it for me? It is all about money. You saw it yesterday - in all its glory. On the take suckers - fleeing for their lives - when it was too hot - in the kitchen.

Today we have parasites mostly Black in the Western Addition and in the Bayview Hunters Point - acting as leaders, some as consultants - and always on the take.

Aurelious Walker, Linda Richardson, Calvin Jones, Willie B. Kennedy, Angelo King, Doris Vincent, Bishop Green, Rev. Boyd, Sophie Maxwell - all had their chance to make peace with the people and speak the - truth. None of them - dared.

It will come as no surprise that NOT one of them has the guts to speak up. And in doing so they said in no uncertain terms:

1. First they made their bed with Lennar and took large amounts of money.

2. They sold the Black community and adversely impacted the larger community.

3. They can tell their children and relatives about the blood they have on their hands.

4. These scum bags - cannot confront - those that speak the Truth and defend the community.

5. History must record these sell outs - that destroyed the little UNITY that remained in the
Black Community - but now has vaporized.

In five years there will be a sprinkling of Blacks. And soon the Black Population - will experience the "Ishi Syndrome".

Black Leaders - especially the Black Church Leaders - must remember that they were responsible for the adverse impacts - ruining the little good - there was among the Blacks of San Francisco - in the last 10 years - especially.

San Francisco Redevelopment Agency - must step forward and pay "restitution" for the mistakes of the past. Put on track the Blacks that need help - to save the diversity and contribution of many Blacks - to San Francisco.

Today, there are no Blacks left in San Francisco - healthy and sound of mind that really want to stay in San Francisco - from the poor neighborhoods. They all need " especial help". One must -just visit the Public Housing scene to fathom this calamity.

Middle Class Blacks the likes of Sophie Maxwell could not give a hoot. They have made money - and are always on the take. You could add Willie L. Brown Jr. to that cadre. And others like Willie B. Kennedy and uprising, failing star - Angelo King of BVHP, Project Area Committee - fame.

Again and again these scum bags will sell the community and do it without impunity.

The Exceedances of Asbestos Structures on May 30, 2008 - before the June 3, 2008 Elections - is the work of the devil.

When Mayor Gavin Newsom, Dr. Mitch Katz, other crooks that are very evil - work against our children and elders - this Racist City - is inviting the WRATH of God.

The hearing was an eye opener to those that know little about the depth of corruption and blatant racism - in this City and County of San Francisco.

As for those that know about the cesspool - the hearing was nothing new. You throw a pebble in the cesspool - and all you hear is a "plob" and then nothing more. Accept the stench - to high heaven.

Hunters Point is a Superfund Site.

Proposition P mandated the entire Hunters Point Naval Shipyard be cleaned to Residential Standards.

The United States Navy - under pressure - is counting on capping the land prone to liquefaction - buried withe the worst of toxic soil - added radiological elements.

God Save the Blacks in Leadership - who know but fail to acknowledge.

You see but look the other way. You learn but forget to remember what is best for your community. You talk the talk but again and again - do not walk the walk.

You care little about our children and less about our Elders - and yet you deem that you are wise?

The Bible is for the just to quote - but - before that you must live it. Do not spew diatribe and pretend you are some leader - get some help - before you fall over the precipice - and drown in the cesspool of your own - making.
