The candidate received word from the SF Board of Elections that she was still short over 600 valid signatures. The campaign is calling for an emergency enlistment of volunteers to gather signatures today and Friday. All signatures must be turned in by 5:00 PM on Friday.

According to labor supporter and publisher Alan Benjamin, "the campaign turned in more than 400 signatures that had been checked thoroughly against the voter registration lists by the campaign organizers -- and yet only 95 were accepted by the Board of Elections."
