City Hall's Got a Garden?
It once was a wading pool, then became a grassy lawn, and now it is a garden! What is this? It is a small, but beautiful patch of dirt on the Polk Street side of our town's hall.
First thought, "It must be some stupid tourist-oriented thing." Then, I panicked, thinking the grassy lawn was being developed and turning into concrete! A fence divided my from strange people who were digging! I talked with two friendly souls through the chicken wire fence and they said the following:
("How did you do this?") We got a permit.
("What are you going to plant?") It will all be vegetables.
I stuttered and stammered trying to make sense of it. I concluded, "So be it!"
