The State of Black San Francisco - a community forum presented by Osiris Coalition.

by Francisco Da Costa
The Osiris Coalition brave attempt to bring a serious issue linked to "de-population" or"gentrification" brought to one place many African Americans. Many, wanting to know what is it that is really causing the mass exit of so many - African Americans that were living in San Francisco and are now no more. The panel of so-called experts made some vain attempt to address the issue at hand. The key note speaker was astute but perhaps Minister Christopher Muhammad from the Nation of Islam - hit the nail on the head - with his statements made at the forum.
For the longest time ever many intelligent African American have been trying to fathom - why so many African Americans that once lived in San Francisco - have left San Francisco in droves and more are leaving - every, single day.

There was a time when half the Blacks in San Francisco sailed on a ship and went to Canada. They thrived in Canada in British Columbia and took over the towns and had Mayors and everything. They did that when Blacks were strong and they did not want to bow down to discrimination and brute force.

After the famous Earthquake of 1906 more Blacks left and spread all over the United States. They took a little of San Francisco - where ever they went and that was good.

Mayor Shelly and his infamous SF Redevelopment Agency forced thousands of Blacks out of the Fillmore and into the Tenderloin Single Residential Occupancy hotels (SROs) - the Bayview Hunters Point and in other places in San Francisco and the Bay Area - where Blacks sought refuge with relatives and friends. This happened in the 1960s.

In recent years the exodus of Blacks has been an on going phenomenon with City Policy Makers enjoying the exodus and encouraging some Black Sellouts to form a Task Force - and address so called Out-Migration.

We already have the "Unfinished Agenda" commissioned by the San Francisco, Human Rights Commission and a document that is in detail and spells out what really is the matter with this Racist, City and County of San Francisco. For decades this document has been collecting - DUST.

But, never mind - Mayor Gavin Newsom with his cronies the likes of whom I will not mention - but have mentioned the sell outs before - have formed a Task Force - to address "out- migration" of Blacks out of San Francisco and into oblivion.

The Osiris Coalition today, Saturday June 28, 2008 at the West Bay Conference Center tried to shed some clarity on this topic - but really failed to do so because the novice team tried to bring some sense - without first throughly understanding what really ails San Francisco - and who really are the "policy makers" that with intent - want all African Americans out of San Francisco.

The speakers on the panel tried to do some justice but missing from the dialog of sorts - the voice of the youth and those that are the true victims of injustice.

You do not go to the hospital and ask the doctors that work at the hospital how is the hospital faring? You go to the patients and inquire of them - if they are treated well?

African Americans by far in San Francisco are ignorant of the historical importance of the all Black Buffalo Soldiers that accompanied the many Pioneers to California and San Francisco. A general perusal of this history - so important that without their contribution much of what we see in California and San Francisco - would be nought.

In San Francisco stalwarts like Mary Ellen Pleasant, James Monroe Whitfield, Henry Clay,William Alexander Leidesdorff, Henry Wager Halleck, and many more laid the foundation of what is today's San Francisco. And all of them were Black to the core.

Schools, Banks, Stores, Newspapers, Bath Houses, Warehouses, Bordellos, Hotels, what have I left out - in the 1880s were owned by Blacks.

It is a paradox - there was a time when given opportunities Blacks took them and made good. Blacks thrived in San Francisco from the early 1880s and even when discriminated - left San Francisco and made good in other lands and States within the United States. Such as the exodus to Canada.

With Mayor Shelly and using SF Redevelopment as a tool - for the first time in recent history - Blacks have been decimated.

With intent Crack Cocaine decimated families. Sent thousands of young men into incarceration that is a trillion dollar business. Who may have planted this evil in a community that is mostly naive when it comes to some one sneaking in at night - and doing their evil deed.

Thousands of single Black mothers - failed to bring up their children and less to nurture them as did their mothers and grand-mothers. All of them fell prey to Crack Cocaine and a myriad of other drugs - planted with intent to kill and destroy.

The Black Woman has always been the main stay of the Black Family - all over the United States and more in the South.

But, some with intent from the 1980s chose to ruin families in San Francisco. And so in the Fillmore, the Bayview, the Excelsior, in other places in San Francisco - the Black Leadership failed to unite and speak with one voice.

Killings, shootings, and violence does not stem in a vacuum. We must first understand the ploys of the enemy before - we, without impunity make references with fake stats - and fail to comprehend the who indeed planted the evil seed and brought to fruition so much - killing and sorrow in so many Black families.

Blacks in the history of the United States of American have always been a force to reckon with when united. This unity does not happen in a vacuum - it demands sound leadership.

May I venture to say that our leadership in San Francisco at the hands of the sell out Blacks is worthless. Suffice to say that if I named the leaders - it would be - pathetic. Better, I named a skunk, a weasel, or a dog catcher.

Osiris an Egyptian Pharaoh was decimated and his body parts hidden all over the land in Egypt. His sister Isis with great effort so the legend goes - gather the parts and made him whole. Evil forces dictated the norms in those times - and Osiris fell victim to these forces. His sister - true to form - stood for justice and sought a holistic approach - to the signs of those times.

The Osiris Coalition has sounded a clarion call to the policy makers of San Francisco - and with Clarence B. Jones a personal counsel to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as the Key Note Speaker - and well known the world over providing strategic legal and financial consulting services.

The man has a keen sense of the havoc wrecked by demonic forces that are behind the "de-population" of Blacks in San Francisco.

Our worst enemy are the sell outs Blacks - that pander and for bread crumbs sell out their own community. Among them many Black Pastors.

Some of us, Black, rose and with Proposition F a Ballot Measure challenged Corruption and forced the Forces of Evil - favoring Proposition G - to spend over $5 million dollars.

Today Lennar Corporation is bankrupt and every time it declares bankruptcy it takes with it ten to fifteen Limited Liability Corporations down the drain - into the cesspool of its own making.

Wall Street, the New York Time, Moodys and other Financial Institution - have recognized a small band of women, children, and men from the Bayview - who with fortitude and God on their side - when fought off the evil SF policy makers and those that with "intent" have chosen to decimate Blacks in the Bayview Hunters Point.

We will fight for our children and our elders - for decency and that which is RIGHT.

These demons did it a long time ago when half the Blacks left for Canada. These same forces took over homes when Mayor Shelly occupied City Hall. Now we have Mayor Gavin Newsom - the worse of the worst scum bags - a person with no moral compass.

The time has come for unity under a Black Leadership - that knows the way, shows the way, and goes the way. We in no way can accept those that pander to City Hall today - the cadre of leadership must come from a new cloth - that has proved its worth.

A Black Leadership that does not accept bread crumbs and does not bow down to corruption.

A Black Leadership that understands the issues and with poignant deliberation meets the enemy head on. Nips corruption in the bud.

A Black Leadership that values and nurtures our children. Respects our Elders.

San Francisco is a Racist City and those SF policy makers must fully understand that from the inception of this City of San Francisco - Blacks have had a say.

Portola who discovered San Francisco had a Black in his entourage - and all through history - the Black presence has been a constant reminder of good - to this City.

The First People of this City of whom I represent - favor the Blacks rather then those vile, deceitful, evil, contemptuous, muddaubers that with intent are bent on removing every single Black and people of color - to steal land, and propagate their regime of discrimination and dictatorship.

We have a MOVEMENT that is watching and will join those decent forces - that do not subscribe to the policy makers that are close to Room Room 200 at City Hall and the Caligula that makes his abode within that domain of evil jurisdiction.

§Osiris Coalition ~ African New Year
by Khubaka, Michael Harris
These demons did it a long time ago when half the Blacks left for Canada.

Who specifically were the demons and who were these early pioneers, where did they come from, why did they leave and how were some able to stay and/or return?

It may be the same families, 160 years later, on both sides of the coin.

The early native population was a culturally black and beautiful as they come. If a Black man was owned the wealthiest estate man in all of S.F. in 1848, how in 2008 is he unknown, unappreciated and unwelcomed as a central historical lesson in the discussion?

Osiris is appropriate and featured on the dollar bill in a possible clue towards understanding.

The 1000+ fire fires around Northern California since the African New Year 6248 Storm continues to send a wake up call...

If you begin at Colton Hall, 1849 California State Convention and recall the first Governor who proposed to export all Blacks out of the State of California you may find foundational data to challenge the current reality.

Globally urban renewal means Negro removal and the impotence to speak in a unified voice to impact change will be the challenge.

May the living transmutation of the legend of Osiris guide the spiritual resurrection of the SF MAAFA.
§"State of Black San Francisco" Conference Raises Questions
by Harrison Chastang, Beyond Chron (reposted)
An audience of about 50 people turned out for a panel discussion Saturday at the San Francisco West Bay Conference Center on Fillmore Street entitled “The State of Black San Francisco.” The consensus of the panelists and the audience was that a combination of violence, economics and lack of Black leadership has contributed to a situation that could soon turn San Francisco into a city with only a handful of very rich and very poor African Americans.

The makeup of the panel’s 10 speakers was unusual in that instead of the usual Black task force contingent of ministers, City Hall insiders, elected and appointed officials, the “State of Black San Francisco” panel consisted of community activists, policy analysts and representatives of community based non-profits working with at-risk Black communities.
