On Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 6:00 p.m., journalists Wadner Pierre and Jeb Sprague of HaitiAnalysis.com will speak at Haiti Liberté, 1583 Albany Avenue (corner of Glenwood Road) in Brooklyn, NY.

The title of their presentation is "Widening the Circle of Solidarity: A Talk on Grassroots Media Organizing."

Launched in January 2007, HaitiAnalysis.com is a collaborative effort between North American and Haitian journalists and activists to, in their words, "provide young Haitian journalists a direct route to English speaking audiences, bypassing the need for corporate intermediaries." The North Americans provide "monetary, technological, and human/translation resources
to young inspired Haitian journalists from poor backgrounds" to produce reports and analysis with "a positive perspective on grassroots civil society."

Admission is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available. Public transportation: B6 bus to Albany Avenue. For more information, call 718-421-0162.
