This is not a one-day action. The janitors expect to be out until they win a fair contract. They have settled in Los Angeles and Orange County , where they won a dollar more than is on the table now.



The companies propose to extend the wait for family medical from 2.5 to 3 years. They offer 40 cents an hour increase. We calculate that’s enough for a tank of gas per month, or a bag-and-a-half of groceries.
