KPFA Ignores Mayday 2008 Events On Web Site 4/30/2008
While thousands of immigrants and working people are marching on Mayday 2008 including the ILWU which is shutting down the West Coast shutdown, KPFA on their website have nothing to say. Instead as usual they are promoting their music programs. May Day is unimportant apparently to KPFA interim manager Lemlem Rijio and KPFA interim Program Manager Sasha Lille

KPFA is controlled by an entity that is not friendly to the listeners. I am a Native American leader/elder who helped to start Bay Native Circle in which a couple of people who were responsible for my exit from the station all together without due process. Let me remind you this is a Public radio station barring a Mayoral candidate of the very city that KPFA is residing in. Gregg McVicar (sounds very Irish) who does not attend any Native community events decides to kick off a Blackfeet elder. But he does not stand alone in this alone, Janina Antione who is married to Dick Trudell (attorney for the Clinton Administration-Rawanda and many other crimes) also played a hand in dispersing a important voice off the air waves. Let's look at Bay Native Circle record in the last two years in Berkeley. Not once did this show cover the tree-sit (558 days and counting) on Ohlone Burial ground nor did they cover the historical press conferences of the First ever Native American mayor of a large US city which KPFA resides in.
