Three phobics sue Greek lesbians

On the Greek island of Lesbos
(also known as Mytilene, after its capital),
three phobics are suing over
the word "lesbian".

They want a Greek LGBT group to
stop using the word,
which has two different meanings --
geographical ( pertaining to Lesbos and its inhabitants);
and sexual ( pertaining to homosexual and bisexual women
[ dykes and bykes] ).


What makes these three plaintiffs
think they represent
all of the inhabitants of their island?
Or even a majority?


Here's a better way to
deal with this controversy:
Hold a local referendum
on whether (or not)
local citizens want
to officially change
their island's name
to Mytilene.
