How the Light Brown Apple Moth Got Me to Boycott Fiji (bottled) Water

by Clay Olson
I've been boycotting Fiji bottled water because the owner of Fiji water is spraying me.
After hearing mention of Fiji brand (bottled) water during an "All Things Considered" radio show, I thought to mention to folks that since the company which owns Fiji water is also spraying me, without my consent, with chemicals which are untested and possibly unnecessary for controlling a moth which has yet to become a pest here, I've been boycotting buying Fiji water, which means that I've thus far not bought about $150 to $200 worth of that water. Join me? Tell a friend?

Hi and thanks for posting the connection.
In general bottled water is a scam anyway. But this brings up a separate issue. Its not just Fiji Water either. Here are two quotes. One from an anti spray site and one from a pro lbam spray site. Both admit to these corporate and political connections.

Anti LBAM - http://iseyz.com/corrupt-to-the-core-lbam-spraying/
"State records show that Stewart and Lynda Resnick, co-chairs of Los Angeles-based Roll International, contributed $144,600 to Schwarzenegger’s 2006 gubernatorial campaign. Roll Internationals many subsidiaries include Fiji Water, Paramount Agribusiness and Suterra Inc., the company that manufactures the Checkmate products being sprayed on the Peninsula.”

PRO LBAM site http://www.sfbg.com/printable_entry.php?entry_id=5827
"Schwarzenegger, who continues to support CDFA's LBAM-eradication program, received $144,600 in campaign contributions from Los Angeles–based Roll International owners Stewart and Lynda Resnick, who control Suterra, Fiji Water, Paramount Agribusiness, and the Franklin Mint."

Records show the Resnicks donate broadly, mostly to Democrats — including the gubernatorial campaigns of Steve Westly and Phil Angelides, and US Sens. Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and Barack Obama — with a lesser-size donation to Republican presidential front-runner John McCain, proving they play both sides of the fence."

All the corporations play both sides, just in case the other side wins. Its all about the $$$$. Its using a fake "State of emergency" that really bothers me. I worry more about the abuse of power than this particular spray. But either way. Shoot the planes down. What would the Sons of Liberty have done? They would have shot them out of the sky if they could. Just like they taunted the British into violence to further the revolution. Valentines day Massacre Boston. Dire action is needed in dire situations.

A few pop shots and the planes will likely leave.

Don't tread on me!

People should stop shopping at Trader Joe's all together. Paradise is one of Trader Joe's largest vendors. Paradise Almonds, Paradise Citrus, Fiji Water, and Pom Pom juice are just some of the products Trader Joe's carry. You can see how this Resnick gets rich and now he wants to "poison" other people. For those who don't know, all commercial almonds sold in the US that are not organic are now sprayed with a toxic substance called propylene oxide thanks to Paradise's past salmonella problems. But it doesn't matter to Resnick because he happens to own one of the largest pesticide company, that same company contracted to spray the apple month for some $80+ million of taxpayer's dollars.
