Title: Free the UC Day: Alternative Regents Meeting and Festival
START DATE: Wednesday March 19
TIME: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Location Details:
UCSF Mission Bay
in the grassy field in front of the Community Center
at the UC Regents Meeting
Event Type: Party/Street Party
Come to the March 19th UC Regents meeting and make a stand for a better University and a better world.

It's the 5th anniversary of the Iraq war - time to stand up!

We will create an Alternative Regents Meeting to express our vision for a public University that truly serves the common welfare.

Plus: free food, art, music, dance, and party!

Our issues:

Stop the War, No Nuclear Weapons, Democratize the Regents, Fair Wages, Affirmative Action, Diversity, No Fee Hikes, Sustainability, Fair Trade, Free Education, Immigrant Rights, Justice in Palestine, Ethnic Studies, Peace Studies, Women's Rights, Ban Killer Coke, Indigenous Rights, Save the Oaks, Stop BP, Third World College, Justice for Bhopal, Cancel UCSC LRDP, and _________.

George Bush launched a war on the Iraqi people looking for "weapons of mass destruction" - there were none.

But the UC Regents have designed and built EVERY nuclear weapon in the US arsenal!

What's your issue with the imperial University?

What can we accomplish together that we can't accomplish by ourselves?
