Lennar's - Archilles Heel - lack of genuine community support all over San Francisco

by Francisco Da Costa
Lennar simply does not get it. In San Francisco you just cannot come in and steal the land - and buy some corrupt folks - like Mayor Gavin Newsom and think that all is well. Lennar's, Achilles Heel is lack of genuine community support - all over San Francisco. Also, its filthy track record of using deceit and building inferior homes on toxic land. Lennar in one instance built a school near unexploded bombs - the bombs were carried in the dirt - from one area into the school area - complete with unexploded - ordinance. Lennar - has NOT learned its lesson - the community, wants Lennar out of community - yesterday.
This fight with Lennar and myself goes back a long time.

Willie L. Brown Jr. started it all - doling out money using Roy Willis a Black man from Southern California - handing envelopes to those that the community least trusted - trouble makers and scum bags.

Today he is behind the scenes pulling those corrupt stings - and machinations.

We have mentioned the names of the Sell Outs before and we can mention their names again and again.

Lennar did not pay any money for Parcel A on Hunters Point.

Lennar promised the community "rental units" and then decided to amend the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) a legal and binding document - linked to Parcel A.

Of course Lennar could NOT do it without Sophina Maxwell's help and the SF Board of Supervisors went with the flow.

Lennar failed to abide with the Dust Mitigation Plan and even today there are serious exceedences
linked with Asbestos Dust and other toxic dirt.

Some months ago there was a large diesel spill that reached the beach and the Bay - polluting other parcels and for sure the watershed.

Lennar has no money to build homes - in fact the thousands of homes it could not sell in Southern California and Florida - it sold for forty cents on a dollar - to rake in a rainy day fund.

Lennar has laid off - over sixty percent of its workforce - and even here in San Francisco - the only one left really - doing the devil work is Kofi Bonner.

Watch out Kofi Bonner - we have given you a pass - and the community wants you and other WEASELS like you - out of our community.

Our fifty percent Affordable Housing Initiative will pass - and what is really required is a SEVENTY PERCENT AFFORDABLE HOUSING INITIATIVE - to send Lennar a very strong message.

Lennar has been courting certain forces like ACORN that did not take up this fight with Lennar many years ago. They chose not to help us with our Fifty Percent Affordable Initiative - this rag tag army of so called advocates must learn to cooperate with the community at large.

rag tag army of folks - some of them have camped themselves in the Tenderloin and Alice Griffith Public Housing - pretending to do good. Doing it in certain circles and thinking - we do not know how far the tentacles are entrenched.

At one hearing at City Hall - the public heard how they took upon themselves to be in charge of Work Orders linked to the Alice Griffith Public Housing.

Those that paid their dues to ACORN had their Work Orders for repairs - sent up the chain of command. Those that did not pay dues to ACORN and fulfilled the membership requirements - were left in the dark.

ACORN has no clue about the DDA linked to Parcel A. Less the Housing and Transportation Document.

I did not see them participate in the meetings when we discussed about housing, dust mitigation plan, the South Bayshore Plan, Alice Griffith Public Housing, the 101 Causeway over Yosemite and to Hunters Point - and so on and so forth.

Recently, they tried to put their own Initiative and failed - they could try again - and will fail.

For sure we will put another Initiative and demand more Affordable Housing but tie it to Infrastructure and Community Benefits.

We must NOT permit Lennar and even some dubious other "smaller entities" making deals with entities in the Tenderloin and ACORN.

I have been reading nonsense written by one Tenderloin Guru who can speak for the nonsense going on in the Tenderloin - taking over Single Residential Occupancy Hotels and renovating them.

For sure some get them - but this type of mickey mouse SRO housing does not address Quality of Life issues. And of course the man - who dabbles at writing some - really does not understand our issues in the Bayview Hunters Point.

Well, only those that understood the Bayshore Plan, participated in the various meetings, attended the City Planing Workshops linked to the Eastern Neighborhoods and the Bayview Hunters Point - can fathom what I am real - talking about.

ACORN did not help us collect the 30,400 signatures. And even though the Tenderloin Guru gave Brian O'Flynn some drab publicity - these supporters from a distance - had their own agenda in mind.

We know they are NOT part of the present MOVEMENT that will demand and mandate benefits - and win Initiatives and Ballot to make it happen - for the people.

It will send shills down the spine of City Hall - and we already see City Hall pandering to some - but NOT acknowledging the public at large.

The many signatures in toto were collected by the Public at Large - and there is where the credit goes.

Lennar has opened some office trying to push its FAKE ballot measure - The Bayview Jobs, Parks, and Housing Initiative on Evans Street.

It spent over $1 million buying CROOKS and THUGS to collect a meager - 13,000 signatures. Most of them - collected by Paid Signature Collectors.

Lennar Achilles Heel is Community Support - we have it and it is over flowing.

Not a sound from Aurelious Walker, Lola Whittle and Robert Simms. I have NOT seen them at City Hall - act as Observers in our signature count - that is making sound progress.

Lennar using undue influence - ram roded their signature count and Ballot Initiative - we know the TRUTH - and will reveal the facts at the appropriate moment.

Our 11,811 signatures collected in 10 days - could have been verified - we did not have the time.

Next time around all our signatures will be verified - there are many softwares that help you do this. The Paid Signature Gathers do this - that is why they charge - three to four dollars per signature.

We did this with our 33,400 signatures when we opposed the SF Redevelopment Agency and its proposed Project Area. We were certified at that time - one hundred and ten percent.

This time around we got a score of ninety seven percent and had we got one hundred and ten percent or more - we would have sailed freely to the Ballot.

One always learns a lot from various entities or organizations that find it difficult to execute sound logistics. It is a learning process. Collecting the 33,400 signatures we had a lean, mean machine.
We also had the software - well in advance to do our verification of signatures.

This time around time was of essence - and we have to be patient.

Some talk the talk and others walk the walk - it is rather difficult to bring some to fully understand that talk is cheap and sound, sincere, actions better suited to Initiatives and Ballots.

We will give Lennar a run for its money - again and again.

Sam Singer sing your BLUES - you and your ilk have not seen anything yet - Kosher or wrought.

We will initiate - Initiatives and a Variety of Them - well spread at intervals that can erode the Lennar morale and send them packing into oblivion.

We want them to drown in the cesspool of their own making.

We have been waiting to hear what happened with this year's petition. It appears that it did not make the ballot. Do you have any news? Can you please post something directly on this issue? Thank you.

Did I say we validated 4000 signatures on our own. We collected 11,811. Right now a 100% validation is on - and so far we are doing very well. Does that satisfy you.

Remember we collected 11,811 signatures - certified and within 10 days. Lennar had more then two months - spent $1 million and collected a measly 13,000 signatures - and thinks they have the support of the people.

To the point - both Ballots we be chosen and when the day comes - we will defeat Lennar and those scum bags that ask silly questions - such as you have posed.

You can go the next time and ask the SF Department of Elections the silly question you have posed. But, then jerks like you do not find that Kosher!
We filed a RICO act - it a act that deals with "thugs" and it contains concrete information about those forces that think they can get away with murder in broad daylight.

Lennar has settled its discrimination suit with the three Black Lennar employees that filed the suit against Lennar. Lennar is reaching out to anyone and everyone to help them as they are drowning in the cesspool of their own making.

Very interesting times - Lennar is doomed to failure because it did not respect the community. This is not Florida, New Mexico, or Southern California - this is not Ghana it is San Francisco.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
