by Dan Bacher
Sunday Feb 24th, 2008 12:09 AM
Here is the peace and justice calendar, for March and the rest of February, from Sacramento Area Peace Action.
NOTICE: The host server for the sacpeace.org website has been hacked so our website is not currently available. We are hoping this problem will be corrected very soon.

HIGHLIGHTS:
4th Tuesday film, Feb 26: What a Way to Go: Life at the End of Empire
Mark your calendar: Sat., March 29, Luis Fernandez speaks on the Policing of Dissent.

ALERT:
Within the next 3 weeks or so, Congress will take up Bush's war supplemental request for another $102 billion (which will make the total cost $624 billion). Call Rep. Doris Matsui, Mike Thompson, Senators Boxer and Feinstein, and Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi and tell them you don't want to wait for the next administration to end the hiddeous occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. Tell them you want ALL the U.S. troops and military contractors brought home now.
After nearly five years, the invasion and occupation of Iraq has killed a estimated million-plus Iraqis, nearly 4000 U.S. soldiers (not counting those who have killed themselves), devastated the lives and families of both U.S. soldiers and the Iraqi people, and wasted nearly a half a trillion dollars!
To reach all senators & Congressional representatives, call 202-224-3121(operates 24/7)
