Lisette B. Poole is a freelance journalist and a journalism professor at California State University, East Bay. Her expertise is in the Middle Eastcand North Africa, reporting for The Associated Press and The Times of London.
During a 14-year career in the region she covered wars and peace talks, economic busts and booms, and the rise of the "Jihad vs. McWorld" phenomena in the region.
Recently, she has been published in the Daily Californian, The WashingtoncReport on the Middle East and Africa, SPAN-- a magazine published in India, The Argus and Pakistan Link newspapers, as well as Z-Net, among others.
