Demand the Closure of Guantanamo Bay with the ACLU of Northern California!
The ACLU of Northern California is beginning a series of activism/volunteer nights. On Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 at 6pm we will be holding the first of this series. We will tackle the subject of Guantanamo Bay.
JANUARY 11, 2008, will mark the six-year anniversary of the first arrival of prisoners at Guantánamo Bay.
Guantánamo Bay has tarnished America's image and diminished our ideals; it is a symbol of torture, abuse, and injustice.
Join us to LEARN about the issues, CONNECT with other activists, and TAKE ACTION to demand the close of the detention center at Guantánamo Bay.
Food, drink, and opportunities for activism will be provided.
For questions or to RSVP, please contact organizing [at] aclunc.org or 415/621-2493 x372.
