SF's first TG mayoral candidate?
[ Press and public didn't notice. ]
........
First transgender candidate for SF Mayor,
on November 2007 ballot
.......
A few months ago, on IndyBay.org, I reported that
none
of the dozen candidates for SF Mayor
seemed to be openly LGBT.
Ooops! I had overlooked Mike Powers, owner of
Power Exchange. His erotic orientation remains
bisexual (or pansexual); while his current gender is
somewhere between male and female.
In his own words,
" I was living as a girl for a bit, about 2 years.
Got on hormones, and am still off and on again....
I am now staying somewhat middlesexed;
not sure what I want to do,
as to going either one way or another;
in a kind of middle ground.
So I qualified unofficially as the first TG candidate
for SF mayor.... "
He isn't The City's first TG candidate for
public office, of course --
just the first to run for Mayor.
