Dec. is the month to fight criminalization and violence against sex workers

International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers is a time to call attention to
the effects of criminalization, discrimination and stigma experienced by
prostitutes. During the month of December sex workers and their allies join together
around the world and stand in solidarity against violence.

DEC 13th NOON Thursday Vigil on the sidewalk on
Grove St. between Cole and Parker in
San Francisco, California to call
attention to the unethical practice by USF
Ethics professor for video taping massage
parlor workers without their permission to
promote his idea of forced labor, with no
regard that he violated their privacy
rights under the guise of rescuing workers.

DEC 14th Friday at NOON SWOP NORCAL will
flyer City Hall in Berkeley, Oakland and San
Francisco. Please if you would like to help

DEC 14th 10pm FRIDAY Meet on the corner of San
Pablo and Ashby in Berkeley and we will make
our way to International Blvd in Oakland. The
goal of this outreach is to bring support to
sex workers with goody bags and legal
resource guides and invites to events on the
17th. Please bring a gift to put in our goody bags. For more info please email

DEC 17th Noon MONDAY on the sidewalk at
Bancroft and Telegraph in Berkeley to call attention to a recent incident of
violence against a sex worker while
attending a UC Berkeley event hosted by
the Ethics Department that depicted
sexually violent graphic images of sex
workers as normal.

DEC 17th NOON MONDAY Press Conference San Francisco City Hall with Supervisor Jake
McGoldrick. Join Supervisor McGoldrick on the steps on the Polk St. side.

DEC 17th 5pm MONDAY, We will hold a reception
in Supervisor Jake McGoldrick's office. 2nd
Floor. At 6pm we will gather in the Civic
Center Plaza on the Polk Street side of San
Francisco's City Hall where we will hold a
candlelight vigil with spoken word tributes in
remembrance of all who died from violence in
the line of duty.
