We now know the REAL reason Pelosi hurried to say "Impeachment is NOT on the table": she is complicit and thereby subject to Impeachment herself as she actually KNEW about torture, waterboarding in 2002. She, and 3 other Congresspeople were given an explicit "virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk."
She knew, when torture was in the planning stages; she knew, BEFORE the deaths of thousands of Americans and millions of Iraqis; she knew, before this illegally and immoral occupation and genocide began; she knew, we were torturing people and obtaining "information" through torture.
And she did NOTHING.
We must DO SOMETHING.
Please join us!
When: Today, Monday Dec 10th
Where: San Francisco Federal Building
450 Golden Gate Ave, near Civic Center BART and Muni
Time: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Protest Pelosi's unconscionable condoning of torture.
Demand she explain to US her constituents, WHY she allowed torture to go forward in our name
Demand she REFUSE to bring ANY funding bill to the floor that does not fund the immediate return of ALL our troops and contractors
At 4:30p.m. we go to her office to get her explanations!
Bring signs; bring yourself; bring friends; spread the word; bring a cell phone - we'll ask people to call her office RIGHT NOW! But most of all, just BE THERE!
Some ideas for signs:
Pelosi took impeachment off the table because she was AT the table.
Waterboarding? It's OKAY with Nancy !
