PEACE WITH IRAN, Sanaz Meshkinpour will speak in Monterey Dec 8 at 2 pm at the Irvine Auditorium 460 Pierce St. Monterey
Sanaz Meshkinpour is an Iranian American activist of Jewish and Muslim parents, living and working in San Francisco. She serves as Global Exchange's Middle East Program Coordinator, organizing delegations to Iran, Israel & Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. Sanaz holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science, with an emphasis on Middle East Politics, from UC Berkeley. Sanaz believes that sanctions or military intervention in Iran would bring about dangerous consequences to the Iranian civil society and populace, as well as for ongoing conflicts within the region. She has family in Iran, Israel and the US - she regularly visits friends and family in Iran. In her dynamic presentation, Sanaz weaves her critical analysis of the situation, with personal stories of her family and their travels.
