All-American Canal
This is the All-American Canal which sits to the North of the camp. The border patrol mainly sit between the canal and the camp.

Here come the campers. They have been marching for a couple of hours before the get to this point.

The campers are getting closer to the camp now. And they are about to take the camp and start setting up.

At this point on day one the camp is set up. They have successfully set up even with Border Patrol presence.

I saw a truck-mounted dish of that size at the RNC protests. It was a "sound cannon"--meant to disperse crowds through the use of low-frequency amplified sound. Apparently it makes you lose your bowel functions. Anyway, the sound cannon had more buttons and things on it. Could be for la migra's DirectTV.

it probably is the sound cannon, or at least it bears a resemblance to it ( aka. long range acoustic revice, http://www.atcsd.com/site/content/view/25/35/). What makes me more suspicious is the company that produces it is in San Diego and if you search their site they boast about having worked with/sold things to the border patrol. What might be scarier is they talk about an automated form that allows them to target and enforce remotely.
