2nd Communication from the Mexican Side of the No Borders Camp (with pictures)

NO BORDERS CAMP
a 8 de Noviembre de 2007

With Nov 7th giving birth to the first ever bi-national No Border Camp, and after an exciting start with a march that left from "la Antigua Garita Internacional" that stretches across the border between Mexicali (Baja California) and Calexico (California). This date was chosen for action to commemorate the 18 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall and has many objectives to tell the countries with BORDERS that "NINGUN SER HUMANO ES ILEGAL" / NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL. The companeros from Mexico, U.S.A, Spain, Alemania, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries, have united to work together in this struggle since the 7th of Nov. to the 11th here in Mexicali.

The march took place passively, separated by the wall between, but not separated from our dream to overthrow it. For almost 50 years we are separated by this wall from our land, a land that once we were free to roam across, free to all.

This invitation is to unite all of us to this symbollic Camp that has been determined an Autonomous Space, a space with no countries or flags, a space without VISAS and without having to be "illegals" within our own country.

WE ARE ALL FREE HUMANS. SOMOS SERES HUMANOS LIBRES.

To participate in this NO BORDER CAMP we are located at "La Avenida Cristobal Colón" and "Río Sinaloa" . For more information please go to: http://www.noborderscamp.org

During these days we will have workshops, En estos días se realizaran talleres, charlas, forums, Articistic space, ... Bring your ideas or proposals of creativity, ideas, beans, and your dreams as we continue to construct this free space between all.
