LBAM Spray Update

by citizen
LBAM spray info. UPDATE 11/5/07
Hi All,

Everyone is incredible! Look what we all have accomplished. 60 or more people were in that courtroom in San Jose today and that made an incredible impact on the judge and the court.

We did not receive the temporary restraining order today, but we were granted a November 21 hearing date to gather our evidence and prove our case at that time. That is a greater accomplishment than the Board of Supervisors with their legal team and financial resources accomplished last week. And maybe the SC board and the full SC city council with Monterey county and city will join our effort as we are all good friends and in this together.

Of course, we are still a huge underdog, but we have a chance!

We now need documentation (not concepts) to prove the statements that we are making about this unnecessary aerial spray attack on our urban population. People out there who are qualified will need to step up and get us this evidence and documentation. Not "I heard this somewhere," but the actual source documentation.

What can we all do to make a difference: We had over 60 people in court today. Lets bring 5,000 of us to the court on November 21. What is more important to do on that date for every single one of us. We will alert the press and 5,000 people will rock the federal court house and bring national attention to our issue. That kind of event will bring Al Gore onto our team and others with that level of influence.

No doubt it is a shame that we will receive the first round of spray if this fog clears before November 21. But please stay focused. The far more important issue is stopping the spraying every 30 days that is scheduled to begin in the spring. We can leave town or scramble to avoid one spray during November, but no one has a method to avoid spraying every 30 days starting in February or March and going as long as THEY decide. That would be the end of our lives and the end of our towns as we know them.

We must bring more than 5,000 people. Contact every person that you know that cares about life, about children, about freedom, about love. Explain that this spray is planned to expand to every area in this state that THEY decide. Every area where they find or plant one moth. Contact every person you know in San Francisco, in Berkeley, in Oakland, everywhere in the Bay Area. As Los Angeles is possibly targeted next, bring every person from Southern California and Northern California. Bring every person you know for your benefit AND THEIRS.

YOU, I, WE CAN DO THIS. START NOW! (court time and further details to follow)

Thank You Every One!

Please spread this email and repost everywhere!

There was incredible results at the Federal Court today!

Hey there,

I just want to say I'm a big supporter and I have been putting up fliers around the UC. I think that this is an issue that the UCSC students and locals can join hands and speak against together. I send the above article to about 200 people this morning so I hope that we can all make a difference. I'm also trying to put together an interest group to gather information and distribute it around the city to the people of Santa Cruz so we can intelligently protest the spray. If anyone has any ideas or would like to join or contribute to this interest group please email me.

Let's make a difference.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
