THE 1917 RUSSIAN REVOLUTION

The Russian Revolution was the first successful socialist revolution in history. It was the first state organized in the interests of the vast majority of workers rather than a rich minority elite. The revolution overthrew the capitalist class and put Russia on the road to building socialism.

Over the last 90 years, revolutionary movements worldwide have learned lessons from this great event, and they are still important today. Join us in a forum and discussion to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, its accomplishments and how to continue the struggle for socialism.

* How did the Bolsheviks and the workers take power?
* How the Soviet Union united national minorities
* The importance of the Russian Revolution today
