Join Courage to Resist for movie watching and inspiring discussion about how to help end the war by supporting the troops who refuse to fight.
We'll watch the film and discuss ongoing efforts to support U.S. military war resisters currently seeking refuge in Canada and how you can help by being a part of our work. We'll even bring the popcorn!
"Breaking Ranks" explores the stories of U.S. soldiers as they seek sanctuary in Canada as part of their resistance to the war in Iraq. With intimate access to four American military deserters, their lawyers, and their families, the film documents the experiences of these young men as they exercise their consciences amidst profound emotional, ethical and international consequences.
