Tecate, East County San Diego, North County, San Ysidro, South Coutny, the canyon areas…. all need your help. Please bring donations to CHICANO PARK. (5 Freeway, Cesar Chavez Exit) look for kiosk under the Coronado bridge in the heart of Chicano Park.

After speaking with Enrique Morones he said that many will of these items will also be going to migrants who are fleeing the canyons and finding refuge elsewhere. The people at Chicano Park may also need help getting these items to the people that need them. Please check in with the people at the park to see what the needs are.

BORDER ANGLES FIRE UPDATE … Tuesday October 23, 2007

Thanks again to all for the incredible support, more than 100 truck loads TODAY @ CHICANO PARK!!! We continue to send donated supply to Qualcomm, South Bay, North County, the East and other drop off sites.

We made several trips to the migrant camps where incredibly many continued to work in fields till end of work day (they continued to work in with horrific air conditions, while surrounding millionaires were advised to leave with reverse 911 call!) Most migrants refused to leave with out there fellow workers. Thank God, we were able to convince some migrants to join us in safe houses.

It was great to see so many fellow activist and community members join us today, ten times more than yesterday and we expect more tomorrow Thanks MAPA, AFSC, Circulo de Hombres, Macedonio, Dr. Tanori, Juan Ramon, the Mexican Consulate, SI SE PUEDE, GENTE UNIDA, SEIU, Two Tears, ChIcano Park Steering Committee, CASA Familiar, CENTRO, Red Rose, Senior Citizen Center, Little Ceasars, Oscar, Micalela, Gus, the media, BORDER ANGELS and all the other volunteers that showed up to help….GRACIAS TODOS !!!

It is an OUTRAGE that while some of us were in North County migrant camps ( as we made four runs up there and back today) and while Mercedes and Jaguars raced out of area, our migrant brothers continued to work the land AND no city officials, no warnings besides ours…WE WILL NOT FORGET.

Join us tomorrow (Wednesday) as we will continue to collect supplies and reach out to our brethren, especially the most needy. Please join us at Chicano Park 900 am if you
want to help, really want to help. We plan to be there from 900am till at least 600pm.

We have a great team in place, some of us will be hitting the road but as Cesar taught us the work continues…with or with out us! Please help, Thanks again
