"COUNTY SERVICE AREA 48" is the unincoporated areas of Santa Cruz County (redwood forests and townships) - A government solicited election by Commissioners of the "Santa Cruz County Fire" [Protection District] are holding a simultaneous Hearing and VOTE ("weighted"!!) in order to create separate "fire protection [special] agency districts" to replace our volunteer fire deparments (currently run by our donations and volunteers)thus, service provider fees will be levied against all property - assessment added to tax -- is unlawful in many categories (environment, voting, special district formation, transfer of authority, permitting, logging, LAFCO jurisdiction, Prop 13, Prop 218.. DONT VOTE - JUST SUBMIT PETITION AGAINST unnecessary scare tactics to create/privatize our fire departments.
